Wanda Beach (PS 6) commences on the south side of Kangaroo Point and trends due south-southeast for 1.6 km to 40 m high Wanda Wanda Head. It is a low energy beach with sand flats exposed to easterly wind waves. There is a small park and access in the north at Kangaroo Point, with a groyne, jetty and boat ramp 400 m south of the point at the Port Stephens Yacht Club, a central George Reserve with a park and picnic area, while beachfront house back the remainder. The southern comer is also used to store dinghies on the beach.
