The car park provides access to Hyams Point Beach (NSW 432), a rock-bound 130 m long pocket of sand, bordered by the point to the north and a low rocky point and reefs to the south, with reefs also extending 200 m offshore. A road runs along the rear of the northern half of beach to a small boat ramp, with a creek usually blocked behind the southern end. The beach is composed of coarser sand and is always steep and reflective.
