Yaroomba beach (1543A) begins at Point Arkwright and extends south for just over 1 km. It is backed by residential development. Beside the beach rips there are two strong permanent rips, one against the point and the second against some rocks in the surf 200 m south of the point. The best access is from the car park and lookout on the 20 m high point and a beachfront reserve 1 km south of the point.
