The coast north of Fishermans Bay becomes increasing dominated by a very low gradient coastal tidal plain, backed by several kilometers of salt flats and low country, with very low energy high tide beaches fronted by tidal sand flats up to 4 km wide. Between Fisherman Bay and Deep Creek is 37 km of low sandy coast, followed by another 30 km of mangroves lined coast round to Port Pirie. This section is only accessible via farm tracks in the south leading to the northern side of Fisherman Bay and by a gravel road then 4WD track out to Wood Point. The northern two beaches being essentially inaccessible by vehicle, except across the tidal flats. Apart from a few shacks on Fisherman bay inlet, and backing farmland, there is no development. On the north side of Fisherman Bay inlet is a 3.5 km long relatively straight, west facing sand beach (548), fronted by sand flats up to 2 km wide. A low foredune and farmland beaches the beach, which can only be accessed via the farm. At the southern end of the beach, facing into the 300 m wide inlet are seven shacks.
