One kilometer to the west is beach 1253, an 800 m long south facing narrow high tide beach, backed by low calcarenite bluffs, with a narrow low tide bar and usually low waves. Immediately west, and just inside the cape is 150 m long beach 1254, a similar bluff bound beach.
