Outside the bay, between the western headland and Cape D’Estrees are four more exposed beaches. The first two, 1251 and 1252, faces southeast and lie immediately west of the headland. The first links the small headland to the mainland. It is 800 m long and backed by a low dune system, while it is fronted by 100 m wide ridged sand flats. Its neighbour is similar only 100 m in length and partially backed by low bluffs.
