Beach 638 curves round on the south side of the bluffs for 800 m to a small sandy foreland, which is occupied by 200 m long beach 639. A gravel road runs out to the foreland where there is a small exposed boat ramp. A more substantial and protected boat ramp has been built at the southern end of the beach, and is backed by a large car park.
