Arno Bay is a small town located just off the highway, on the northern shore of largely infield Arno Bay. There is a causeway from the town across the usually dry samphire flats to the main beach (640), where the settlement consists of about 90 shacks lined up in two rows behind the northern half of the beach (Fig. 4.114). There is also a boat ramp, jetty and caravan park and foreshore reserve.

There are three near continuous beaches running north of the beach. The first (637) can be accessed in the north via the Red Banks road. This beach sweeps for 2.6 km from south of the bluff top car park down to a small protruding bluffs, with three beachfront shacks, lying just a few hundred meters east of the highway. Apart from the shacks there are no facilities.
