Beach 644 lies immediately south of the cape and is a 550 m long protruding high tide beach, lying below the bluffs, and broken in places by projecting bluffs and rocks. Fifty metre wide rock flats, then reefs front the beach, with the usually low waves breaking 50 to 100 m offshore over the reefs.
