Riley Point is gently sloping bedrock promontory that forms the northern boundary of Wallaroo Bay. Between the point and the sand of North Beach is 3 km of bedrock controlled coast containing three high tide sand beaches fronted by 50 to 100 m wide intertidal rock flats and boulders. Access is via North Beach in the south and the Point Riley gravel road in the north. The first beach (526) is backed by the growing subdivisions of North Beach. It is 850 m long sweeping into two arcs, with a reserve then houses backing the length of the beach.
