South Beach (507) is the southern beach of Port Hughes. It faces west and extends for 2.5 km from the northern protrusion up to the rock flats of Port Hughes. It is accessible via a sealed road and large car park at the northern end, and consists of a sandy beach fronted by sand flats, which narrow to 100 m at the port.
