At Riley Point the coast turns and faces northwest and runs relatively straight for 6.5 km to Myponie Point, then another 2 km to Black Rock and finally another 4.5 km to Tickera Bay. The entire section is dominated by sloping bedrock, with the shoreline consisting of 10 to 20 m high bluffs and some steep gullies, most capped by stable longitudinal dunes, which have been cleared for farmland. In amongst the many crenulations along the shore are 10 small sand-cobble-boulder beaches (529-538), all fronted by 50 to 100 wide rock flats, with some sand flats beyond the rocks north of Black Rock. A rough blufftop vehicle track follows the first 9 km of shore, until it is washed out in a gully, with a second track reaching the northern shore from Tickera. Several shacks are located in lee of some of the beaches, particularly those that provide clearer access through the rock flats for boat launching. There are approximately 15 shacks between Riley and Myponie points, 6 shacks between Myponie and Black Rock, and 4 shacks at Black Rock.
Beach Length: 0.1km
