The remaining beaches are all fronted by shallow reef-platforms, resulting in lower waves at the shore, with waves breaking over deeper reefs further out. Beach 1022 is a 100 m long narrow strip of sand below 15 m high bluffs, while beach 1023 is a 30 m pocket of sand encased in bluffs and fronted by extensive reefs.
