The first beach (1055) is located 4 km north of the main beach. It lies in a small partly protected west facing bay which lowers waves to about 1 m at the beach. The beach is a 200 m curving strip of sand, partly fronted by a rock platform, with a 50 m opening to the deeper water of the bay. While waves are lower at the beach the swell breaks heavily either side of the bay. Two kilometers to the north is the second beach (1056) is an 80 m strip of sand bordered by protruding sandstone rock platforms, and fronted by s small boulder filled gap in the platforms. Waves break 200 m offshore on bedrock reefs, resulting in low waves at the shore.
