Needle Eye is a calcarenite sea stack located 1 km south of South Head. There are two small beaches to the south (1062 and 1063) both backed by steep cliffs, and consisting of 150 m and 200 m long strips of high tide sand, fronted by rip dominated 150 m wide surf zones.
