The Knob (621) lies at the southern end of Windmill beach, and is a 800 m long, curving cobble and sand beach, bordered in the north by rock flats, locally known as Flat Rocks, and the low bedrock Knob in the south. There are three car parks behind the beach, which usually is a reflective beach with low waves and a narrow surf zone, developing an attached bar and wider surf during higher wave conditions. The northern end of the beach is backed by the first active dunes on the western gulf shore, the retreating dunes exposing older cobble beach ridges.
Beach Length: 0.8km
