Newland Bay (KI-28) is a 250 m long, north facing strip of high tide sand, with low tide rocks then a sandy bar, which is cut by two beach rips when waves are breaking, with headland-controlled rips to either side. The beach is backed by steep, densely vegetated slopes rising to 100 m, with a 4WD track leading down to the northern end of the beach.
