Rocky Point beach (KI-36) is a 2.2 km long, north to northwest facing sand beach, fronted by a continuous low tide bar (Fig. 5.5), which is cut by several rips during periodic higher waves. Toward the northern end the bar is replaced by intertidal rock flats. The main road runs 200 m behind the beach and, while there are private houses on the point, the best public access is at the northern Brown Beach parking and camping area.
