Cape Torrens lies 12.5 km east of Cape Borda and is a prominent, 200 m high bedrock headland with near vertical cliffs. To either side are two pocket boulder beaches lying at the base of high cliffs. On the west is a 500 m long boulder beach (KI-148) fronted by rock reefs, while to the east is a 150 m long boulder beach (KI-149) at the base of 200 m high cliffs (Fig. 5.28). Neither beach is accessible on foot.
