Snug Cove is, as the name implies, a protected little cove containing a sand beach, with a smaller boulder beach 500 m to the west. The western beach (KI-153) is 50 m long and consists of a high tide sand beach fronted by a low tide boulder beach, and bordered and fronted by bedrock platforms and reefs. Waves are low at the beach, but rock dominates the water.
