At Point Tinline the coast turns and trends south-southwest for 5 km to Cape Linois. While exposure to the southerly swell increases south of the point, the presence of numerous bedrock reefs off the coast lowers waves at the shoreline. There are five beaches along this section, all linked by the gravel road from D’Estrees Bay. The first two lie on either side of Point Tinline.
Osmanli Reef lies 400 m north of Point Tinline and in its lee is a 350 m long, east facing beach (KI-75), bordered by the narrow, protruding point in the south and reef flats which lie off most of the beach. The curving beach is backed by crumbling, 10 m high bluffs, with the bay road running along the top of the grassy bluffs.
