Beach KI-79 is the southernmost beach along this section of the bay and lies at the end of the 2WD road from D’Estrees Bay. The 300 m long, curving beach is set within a nearly circular embayment, with headlands and rock platforms along the side and reef across the 200 m wide mouth. As a result, waves average about 0.5 m at the beach, maintaining a narrow, moderately steep beach fronted by patches of sand and shallow rock reefs.
