On the south side of Kingscote jetty is a 300 m long, narrow, sand and gravel high tide beach (KI-8), fronted by shallow, 50 to 100 m wide sand flats, then seagrass meadows. A terraced park backs the centre of the beach, then a road that runs south to Rolls Point. The beach terminates at the Kingscote pool, which consists of a 50 m long sand beach (KI-9) enclosed in a pool structure. The pool is backed by a sloping grassy reserve and has dressing sheds and toilet facilities.
