Immediately south of the pool is a narrow, 300 m long sand beach (KI-10) tucked beneath the low bluffs of Rolls Point. A road backs the bluffs and there is a walking track along the edge of the bluffs overlooking the beach. The bluffs contain remnants of a Pleistocene sand and cobble beach deposited at a former higher sea level.
