West of Point Ellen the rocky coast trends southwest for 11 km to Cape Kersaint, then runs due west for 10 km to the mouth of the Sun’sail Boom River. Along this 21 km of rocky cliffed coast are eight small beaches, including one blocking the river mouth. The only access to these beaches is via a few rough 4WD tracks that periodically follow the top of the cliffs, with some of the beaches being very difficult to access on foot. Beach KI-113 lies 1 km southwest of Point Ellen. The 200 m long beach faces southeast and receives waves that refract around Cape Kersaint. The beach sits at the base of 20 m high, vegetated bluffs, and is fronted by a continuous, 50 m wide rock platform, partly covered in large boulders.
