Eely Point is a low calcarenite bluff, with a 3.5 km long east facing, curving beach (915) extending immediately south of the point. The main access track parallels the back of the entire beach, providing access at a few locations. The beach is backed by low vegetated transgressive dunes, and fronted by 200 m to 300 m wide sand flats, containing transverse sand ridges (Fig. 4.144). The beach terminates at a recurved spit that is enclosing part of the former sand flat, and is separated from beach 916 by a 50 m wide entrance.
