Beaches 979 to 982 occupy a 1 km long section of bluff-dominated shore, capped by unstable clifftop dunes extending several hundred metres inland. Each of the beaches lies in an indentation in the 30 m high bluffs and is fronted by the continuous surf zone. Beach 982 is a 70 m pocket beach, also with reef in the inner surf zone.
