Great Sandy Point (238) extends for 6.5 km north of Prime Beach as a slowly curving southwest facing foreland, backed by salt flats up to 4 km wide and fronted by 2 km wide tidal flats. There is only 4WD access across the salt flats to the undeveloped beach.
