King Head protrudes 500 m to the south, and tucked on its eastern side is a 200 m long pocket of sand (166) which receive lower waves and usually has a steep beach fronted by narrow bar, and is usually free of surf and rips. Grassy to rocky bluffs back and border the beach, and some rock reef lie off the beach. A farm backs the beach with access via the coastal walking track.
