On the northern side of the mount between two small tidal creeks is a long 550 m long beach ridge (559) which at high tide is surrounded by the creek and flooding salt flats. The Red Cliff Point beach begins on the northern side of the second creek and runs for 5.2 km up to the low Red Cliff Point, where is merges with a disjointed series of mangroves and detached sand ridges. A vehicle track follows the northern half of this beach (560). Tidal flats up to 1 km wide front all three beaches.
