The main cove beach (778) has road access to either end of the 2.5 km long beach, with a picnic and camping area at the western end. It is a low energy, very protected beach, backed by a few low beach-foredune ridges and a 300 m wide salt lake, and fronted by 300 m wide ridged sand flats (Fig. 4.125). The eastern shore of the cove contains two west facing beaches both accessible via a vehicle track that follows the eastern shore up to Engine Point.
