Spalding Cove is a 2.5 km wide, 3 km deep U-shaped cove, bordered by Surfleet Point in the west and Fisherman Point to the east. The cove contains the main Spalding Cove beach (778) together with three beaches on the sides of the cove. Surfleet Cove is located immediately south of Surfleet Point, and consists of an irregular 800 m long east facing beach (777) fronted by largely seagrass covered sand flats. The vehicle track from Stamford Hill reaches the southern end of this beach, where a beach front camping area is located.
