Beach WA 933 extends from the Narrow Neck foreland for 5.7 km to the next foreland, which is tied to an inner reef-capped by a small sea stack. While the southern and northern corners of the beach are relatively sheltered, much of this longer beach receives waves averaging over 1 m which together with the fine beach sand maintain a 100 m wide low gradient surf zone, usually cut by rips every 200-300 m. Generally vegetated dunes back the beach, with two areas of northward migrating parabolics located in from the centre of the beach. Beaches WA 934 and 935 occupy the 8 km long embayment formed between the northern end of beach WA 933 and the prominent Wedge Island foreland that extends 2 km west of the trend of the coast (Fig. 4.432).
Beach Length: 5.7km
General Hazard Rating: 6/10
