Floreat Beach (WA 842B) begins on the northern side of the City Beach groyne. The Floreat Surf Life Saving Club is located 150 m north of the groyne and patrols this 2.5 km of beach. The beach, apart from the groyne, is straight and relatively steep and reflective, with a continuous attached bar forming during higher waves.
