Tyringa Beach (1083) is named after the backing farm. It is a 1 km sand beach, with the surf zone a mixture of exposed and deeper reefs, some extending 500 m off the beach. Wave height is variable along the beach and maintain about five permanent rips. Immediately west is 300 m long beach 1084, which is moderately protected by bedrock reefs, with bedrock also exposed along the beach and in the surf. Its neighbour (1084) is more protected steep 120 m long beach, with usually low waves against the beach.
