The northern end of Perlubie Beach is bordered by low calcarenite bluffs, which extend north for 2 km along the base of 25 m high Perlubie Hill. In four indentations in the bluffs are four small low energy beaches fronted by sandflats. All four are accessible by vehicle tracks running north from Perlubie Beach and in from the highway. The first beach (1185) is 150 m long and shares its 200 m wide ridges sand flats with the main Perlubie Beach. The now abandoned Thomas Landing was located on the bluffs at the northern end of this beach, providing reasonable access to deeper water beyond the sandflats. The other three (1186, 1187, 1188) are all 50 m long pockets of sand wedged beneath the 5 m high bluffs running north of the landing. They are all fronted by 100 wide sand flats and seagrass meadows.
