Acraman Creek is the largest tidal creek in Streaky Bay and an important mangrove habitat, with the entire system a conservation park. The creek has been formed by the development of two barrier-spit systems, which during the past few thousand years have slowly impounded much of the creek area. The eastern barrier consists of beach 1198, a 3.4 km long beach backed in part by up to 12 beach ridges, with a low narrow 1.8 km long recurved spit extending west to form the eastern side of the inlet. The Flagstaff Landing road provides access to the eastern end of the beach.
Beach Length: 3.4km
