One and a half kilometers to the west is beach 1138, a 100 m long south facing beach, bordered by irregular granite rocks, and fronted by reefs to either side extending up to 1 km offshore. These lower waves at the beach to less than 1 m. There is a small dune climbing up onto the low bluffs behind the beach, with a gravel road running along the top of the bluff. The road continues on to Smooth Pool, a large tidal pool located on the headland.
