Lipson Cove is the site of an abandoned mine and the remains of its jetty lie submerged off the southern end of the beach. Today a gravel road runs out to the cove which is a reasonably popular spot for swimming, beach and rock fishing, launching fishing boast and occasional surf. Rogers Beach (689) is a 300 m long headland bound beach, located 500 m north of the cove, with access only via the backing farmland. It usually has a continuous attached bar, with a few rocks in the surf.
