Beach 659 is a 500 m long east facing beach backed by a low foredune and farmland, with its neighbour beach 660 similar at 600 m in length. It has a small usually dry creek crossing its southern end, with sand flats wedged between the creek mouth and the southern headland. A gravel road from Port Neill runs to the southern end of the beach and up to a lookout on the 25 m high southern headland.
