Beach 1338 is a slightly curving 950 m long south facing beach, protected by deeper offshore reefs. It is backed by steep 20 m high bluffs and bordered by a prominent eastern point, and a foreland in lee of a reef to the west, neither of which provide foot access to the beach. Waves average about 1 m at the shore and break across a narrow attached bar.
