One kilometre to the east on the point proper is beach 1353, a 200 m long east facing reflective beach. It receives waves averaging about 0.5 m and is backed and bordered by steep 10 m high bluffs. Out on the northern tip of the point is a sheltered northeast facing 50 m pocket of sand (beach 1354) backed by 15 m high bluffs, with usually calm conditions at the beach.
