West of beach 1392 the shoreline runs relatively straight up to the main beach. However protruding bluffs and fronting rocks and reefs separate the first 4 km into five beaches, which however share a continuous outer bar and surf zone. All five are composed of fine sand, which in combination with waves averaging 2 m maintain a double bar 300 to 400 m wide surf zone, with the rocks and reefs inducing strong permanent rips off each beach. Beach 1392 is a 150 m long pocket of sand fronted by a 100 wide platform, then a rip dominated 200 m wide surf zone in lee of the outer bar.
Beach Length: 0.15km
