At Plank Point the coast turns and faces southeast. The Plank Point beach (611) runs for 3.5 km down to a sandy foreland, on the south side of which is 1 km long south facing beach 612. The point beach is accessed by a vehicle track to the northern end, and contains the beach, backing beach ridges up to 400 m wide, and with ridged tidal flats up to 1 km wide.
