On the western side of the point more sand has accumulated and four beaches are located within the first 2.5 km. Lowly Beach (584) is 300 m long and faces southwest into False Bay. It is fronted by 100 m wide sand flats, and backed by 9 shacks. Its neighbouring beach 585 is 450 m long, with 150 m wide sand flats, and backed by older dune transgression that has crossed the point, with 30 shack located on the points to either side.
