The main Bamboos beach (496) is 1.1 km long extending from the southern bluffs to a 300 m wide northern reef. Red 15 m high bluffs back the entire beach. Blufftop dunes widen from 100 to 300 m in less of the reef, with a vehicle track behind the dunes. The Bamboos car park and camping area is located in the dunes behind the northern end of the beach.
