At Reef Point begins the 10.8 km long sandy beach that includes Chinaman Well and terminates at Point Warrene, the site of Balgowan settlement. The Aboriginal Land extends as far as Chinaman Well. This long sandy beach (486) contains a wide low gradient high tide beach, fronted by sand flats that reach 2.5 km in width in the south, narrowing gradually to 500 m off Point Warrene. The Chinaman Well Road parallels the northern boundary of the aboriginal land, then turns at the coast to run for 2 km up to the Chinaman Well shacks, with the fishing boats moored on the sand flats. Four wheel drive tracks extend north of the shacks all the way to Balgowan.
Beach Length: 10.8km
