Immediately east of Corny Point are three low energy beach-sand flats, all paralleled by the Lighthouse Road, with access tracks off the road to each of the beaches. Beach 449 extends for 1.1 km to the east of Corny Point. It consists of a high tide sand beach, backed by stable 10 to 15 m high dunes and fronted by sand flats that are 300 wide next to the point, narrowing to 100 m in the east.
