The main settlement beach (463) is a crenulate, low energy, usually calm high tide beach, fronted by ridged sand flats that widen to 400 m in the south (Fig. 4.96). The 100 m long jetty runs off the point at the northern end of the beach, with a small hooked groyne providing some shelter for boat launching. A beachfront caravan park is located next to the jetty.
