On the north side of the beach the 300 m wide rock flats recommence and extends for another 2 km before the beach is fronted by seagrass covered sand flats up to Port Rickaby. This 3.9 km long beach (470) is backed by continuous 300 to 400 m wide dunes, with access only at either end, or via several 4WD tracks across the largely stable dunes.
